Icelandic Sea Stacks
We spent two weeks exploring Iceland a couple of years ago, and it was absolutely jaw dropping non stop WOW spectacular landscapes! I came home with so many photos to work from, there was so much to inspire me! This painting was done from a photo I took along the eastern coast, it was a very rugged and dramatic volcanic landscape with steep slopes down to the black sand beach and the ocean. This particular day was magical and mystical with the clouds and mist, mostly monochromatic but with a few areas of bright green moss and grasses for contrast. The image is 8x12, framed to 14x18.
