Katahdin Stream, Baxter State Park Maine
Katahdin Stream is along the final stretch of the Appalachian Trail heading up to the summit of Mount Katahdin. I didn't have the knees to take me to the summit, but really enjoyed the lower section of the trail as it followed the stream. Although there were many giant boulders in the stream, this one really captured my attention with its size and unique shape. This painting evokes the sound of the rushing water and the smell of the balsam and fir trees. Original watercolor double matted and framed.
