Fungi Haven
This cluster of Golden Trumpet mushrooms is delightfully tucked into a forest nook between branches, fallen leaves, lichen and club moss, an intimate look at a rich bit of the woodland ecosystem! These fungi belong to the Mycenaceae family and are common in our region. They fruit in dense clusters on rotting hardwood logs and stumps, and serve as decomposers in the forest. The image is 6 x 9, double matted and framed to 11 x 14. Available at Middle Street Gallery beginning May 22.
