Sycamore Magic
Have you ever experienced the magic of a sycamore tree in the moonlight? Their white bark is silvery white against the blue-black indigo sky. Have you noticed the way the branches have so many bends in them? Do you wonder why they shed their bark? Both are a result of their rapid growth. The bark is brittle and can’t expand to keep up with the growth, so it flakes off. The branches are heavy and can bend down from the weight, or break off, but growth continues upward creating the interesting bends.
