Superbloom, Joshua Tree National Park
We were very lucky to be in California in March, 2019 and just happened to catch the magnificent superbloom! I have lived in a lot of beautiful places, and have seen a lot of wildflowers, but never have I seen a display like this! Seeds from these desert wildflowers can lay dormant in the soil for many years, waiting for conditions to be just right to allow them to bloom.
