"Wolf Moon"

According to the Farmers Almanac, the first full moon of January is called the Wolf Moon. They attribute the name to Native American lore, "that amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the howling of wolves could be heard in the cold winter nights outside of Indian villages." The Wolf Moon this winter was absolutely stunning, I made multiple trips outside in the snow and cold to appreciate how beautiful it was. The moonlight was bright enough to cast crisp shadows of the tree branches on the snowy ground! Matted and framed to 14 x 18.
