'Twas a Cold Winter's Night

Imagine a crisp cold night in winter with the wind howling and the clouds scuttling across the moonlit sky. A few stars peek out between the clouds and the sky is a magical deep indigo blue/black. Imagine this same scene but because of light pollution the stars aren’t visible, the clouds are barely discernable and the sky is a glow of gray and dull yellow reflected light. I know which sky I prefer, how about you? Learn more about the importance of dark skies and how you can help at www.darksky.org. The image is 6x12, framed to 11x17. Available at Middle Street Gallery in Washington, VA.
